Here are some of the common supplications (dua) made before going to sleep and after waking up:

Before Sleeping:

  1. "Bismillahi tawakkaltu 'alallah, wa la hawla wa la quwwata illa billah" (In the name of Allah, I place my trust in Allah, and there is no power or strength except with Allah).
  2. "Allahumma bismika amutu wa ahya" (O Allah, in Your name I die and I live).
  3. "Subhanaka Allahumma wa bihamdika, wa tabarakasmuka, wa ta'ala jadduka, wa la ilaha ghayruk" (Glory be to You, O Allah, and praise be to You, and blessed is Your name, and exalted is Your majesty, and there is no god except You).

After Waking Up:

  1. "Alhamdulillahil-ladhi ahyana ba'da ma amatana wa ilaihin-nushur" (All praise is due to Allah who has given us life after causing us to die, and to Him is the resurrection).
  2. "Astaghfirullah" (I seek forgiveness from Allah).
  3. "La ilaha illa Allah, wahdahu la sharika lahu, lahul-mulku wa lahul-hamd, wa huwa 'ala kulli shai'in qadir" (There is no god except Allah, He is one and has no partners, to Him belongs the kingdom, and all praise, and He has power over all things).

Giving a cushion with the dua for sleep can be a thoughtful and meaningful gift for a child. The dua can serve as a reminder for the child to recite it before going to sleep, helping them develop a habit of making supplication and building a strong connection with Allah. Additionally, having a physical reminder of the dua in their room can provide comfort and security as they go to sleep each night.

In general, gifting items that promote positive habits and values can be a great way to support the development and well-being of children. Whether it's a cushion with a dua for sleep, or any other item that encourages spiritual growth and personal development, such gifts can have a lasting impact and help shape the child's future in meaningful ways.
